I have recently begun taking an interest in drawing and artsy things. It all started when I saw a friend of mine's sketchbook and I wanted to be as good as she was. So I started to practice and saw myself improve when I never thought I would be able to. I like to play video games(though I'm not very good) and watch Netflix or whatever looks good on TV(though I do find myself on Youtube more often than not). I don't consider myself an artist, but I hope to one day be good enough to maybe be labeled as one. Until that day comes, I will try my hardest to improve my drawing and writing skills! Comments are much appreciated, but please be polite when giving criticism of any kind; anyone who does not comply will have their comment hidden from view.

I normally upload around 8:00-10:00 pm but I sometimes upload a little earlier or later depending on my mood or other factors.

Wizard101 Ice Wyvern Head Sketch
This is the last of the head sketches I made on my little tangent, the Ice Wyvern(my favorite Ice Creature/spell). I really wanted to make elaborate details with this one and I think for the most part I succeeded. I love making things fluffy and the like so this was just naturally fun to do.

Xenitar Head Sketch
Keeping with the sketching heads theme I have been doing, I decided to quickly draw Xenitar along with my Draconian and Knowledge Seeker heads and I think he turned out pretty great! This not only gave me an excuse to draw my favorite character of mine but to also practice drawing him from the side(which is something I generally avoid doing due to difficulty).

Xenitar belongs to me.

Knowledge Seeker Head Sketch
Another quick head sketch of one of my creatures, this time of a Knowledge Seeker. I had a lot of fun adding the details to this one, especially the mane. I added fish scale like texture and more defined nostrils to add a more realistic feel. I love drawing Knowledge Seekers now that I know the basics of how to draw Asian style dragons and I will have to force myself to switch off so that the Draconians don't get left in the dust.

Draconian Head Sketch
Here's a quick drawing I made of a Draconian head since I hadn't drawn one of them in awhile. I had a little bit of artist frustration today so I decided to not make any full body arts and just do some heads and it was actually rather soothing. I think it's necessary to take a little break from what you're used to and try something a little different once in awhile to prevent any rage quit moments. I have changed their design a bit since I have experimented a little more with drawing dragons in general and I hope I can soon make decent full body versions of these guys again.

Wizard101 Mammoth
Here's a somewhat quick drawing I made of one of the most awesome spells in Wizard101, the Mammoth. Personally, I think the Mammoth is like the most OP Ice spell ever(maybe because I am low level and not like level 100 or whatever the level cap is now) and the animation is pretty hilarious as well; my friend and I always joked about the snowman that gets trampled and had a good laugh every time. The hybrid pets you can make with the Mammoth are a little basic but outside the Mammoth creature the pets are pretty awesome in my opinion.

Your gallery shows some awesome progress - I really like the facial sketches. The fact that you're willing to explore other ways of doing things shows a lot of promise in your work: I see a lot of people just stick to one way of doing things once they're comfortable, but you're edging into coloring, doing sculpting work, and doing a combination of different fan art: all good ways to diversify your experience & creativity.

Thank you so much for the analysis and praise of my gallery!(hope that didn't sound too egocentric). I appreciate your acknowledgement of the various mediums and kinds of art I have endeavored to try! It's rare that I find someone who goes through my gallery to see how far I have advanced in my art.

You're welcome! And I don't think it's egocentric to accept praise as long as you're not taking undue credit for something - so I wouldn't worry about that. :D It's all about balance I suppose - don't cut yourself down, but don't rub success in other people's faces either: pretty easy for the most part, except when you know you made some major discovery that made a drawing work out really well, and you could go on for awhile about it but don't want to make people start rolling their eyes, lol. Or when someone doesn't like your work, and you want to tell them that they have no clue what they're talking about - but of course, beauty being in the eye of the beholder & all, you just let it slide.

But yeah, I'm glad you explore different things even if you're comfortable with a particular style or pattern of work: it helps a lot with just about everything - even outside of artwork - since it's a challenge to look at problems more creatively. Most of my drawings (especially the older ones) have been from experimenting, though within the last few years I've also started looking at tutorials online, which really helped out. I think it's good to keep a catalog of old and new pictures just so you can see how much you progress over time - even if you cringe at older stuff, because of how far you get. :D
